Role Summary The Business Development Representative is responsible for reaching out to potential clients through cold calls, qualifying leads, and scheduling meetings for the Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) Growth team. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with excellent communication skills and a strong drive to succeed in a fast-paced environment. Skills Must have a high level of English proficiency to effectively communicate with Australia and New Zealand based clients. Cold Calling Expertise: Strong ability to initiate and maintain cold calls with prospective clients, overcoming initial resistance to create opportunities. Lead Qualification: Skilled at assessing prospects' needs and determining whether they fit the ideal customer profile. CRM Proficiency: Experience with CRM systems (e.g. HubSpot) to manage leads, track activities, and update records. Data-Driven: Ability to analyze call metrics, conversion rates, and performance data to continually optimize outbound call out efforts. Time Management: Able to efficiently manage a high volume of calls and tasks without sacrificing quality or results. Customer-Centric Approach: Demonstrates an understanding of customer needs and tailors’ approach to provide solutions. Team Collaboration: Works closely with Account Executives (AEs) and Marketing teams to pass on high-quality leads and contribute to a cohesive sales strategy. Tech-Savvy: Comfortable with digital tools, sales automation platforms, and office software like Excel, and email automation tools. Confident Communicator: Able to engage prospects confidently, convey value propositions clearly, and build rapport over the phone. Resilient & Tenacious: Maintains a positive attitude and keeps pushing through rejections and challenges to achieve sales targets. Goal-Oriented: Focused on hitting daily, weekly, and monthly KPIs, with a passion for achieving measurable results. Self-Motivated: Takes initiative and is proactive in identifying opportunities and improving processes without needing constant supervision. Adaptable: Quick to adjust to changing priorities i.e. sales approach, client needs, and market conditions. Problem Solver: Able to think on their feet and handle objections effectively, finding solutions to prospects' challenges. Curious & Eager to Learn: Continuously seeks to improve sales techniques and product knowledge to stay ahead in the market. Team Player: Works collaboratively with ANZ Growth and marketing teams to align efforts and achieve company goals. Responsibilities Cold Calling: Conduct high-volume outbound calls to a targeted database of potential leads. Lead Qualification: Identify prospects’ needs, assess their interest, and qualify leads based on set criteria. Appointment Setting: Schedule meetings for ANZ Growth Team (Account Executives). CRM Management: Maintain and update detailed records of calls, outcomes, and lead information in the CRM system. Collaboration: Work closely with the Growth team to ensure a smooth handoff of qualified leads and provide insights from outbound efforts. Sales Pipeline Support: Assist in nurturing leads through the initial stages of the sales funnel. Goal Achievement: Meet or exceed key performance indicators (KPIs) such as calls made and MQLs generated. What’s in it for you?
