JOB SUMMARY
As a Business Development Team Lead , you will lead and mentor Sales Support Representatives and Data Researchers to improve performance and productivity while ensuring alignment with organizational standards. You will oversee the identification of new business opportunities and support Account Executives in their initiatives. You will maintain updated documentation of processes, promote best practices, and identify opportunities for efficiency and technological enhancement.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
General Tasks
- Follow daily tasks and manage emails, calls, and timelines.
- Follow the structure and processes of daily tools – Google Suite, Microsoft Suite, Slack, and Salesforce.
- Use Confluence to document training programs, current processes, updates, and best practices related to Business Development backend operations.
- Keep tasks and processes updated and delegate to team members.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to create strategies that enhance the overall performance of the Business Development function.
- Support Business Development and the Account Executives' (US and UK) initiatives.
- Ensure tasks are carried out according to organizational guidelines, standards, and best practices.
- Act as the key decision-maker for urgent issues related to team responsibilities.
- Assist with projects on an as-needed basis.
- Maintain a clean and functional workstation.
- Acknowledge updates and announcements.
- Approve time off requests.
- Meet with the management team to improve practices between the US and Asia.
Specific Tasks
- Oversee the Business Development team and coordinate team schedules.
- Conduct regular one-on-one meetings and evaluations to provide feedback and address challenges.
- Develop training programs for onboarding and ongoing team development.
- Utilize LinkedIn Sales Navigator and ZoomInfo to gather contact information for outbound campaigns.
- Set up and track email campaigns for both the New Logo and the UK Sales team.
- Respond to customer emails when necessary.
- Establish team goals and ensure they are met.
- Track key performance metrics (KPIs) for the team and individuals.
- Conduct market research to identify and segment target prospects, build and refine lead lists, and set up and personalize outbound campaigns (email, calls, social media).
- Run A/B tests to optimize performance, track campaign metrics, and report on effectiveness.
- Update Salesforce records to support the sales process and maintain data integrity.
- Maintain the Business Development and UK Sales Dashboard and create reports as needed.
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent leadership skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
- Knowledge of Salesforce is a plus.
- Willing to work on graveyard shifts, shifting schedules, and weekends.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in business development, sales, or a similar role.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Onsite work required.
- Mon-Friday, 9pm-6am; ability to work shifting schedules when necessary.

- Solicit new business, cross-sell and up-sell identified products to the bank's customer base.
- Establish, maintain and grow relationships with branch officers and staff to generate bancassurance leads and business.
- Liaise between customers and back office for policy servicing and claims.
- Submit required reports in a timely manner.
- Provide timely field intelligence on products, marketing campaigns, competitors, and the bank partner that will affect bancassurance business.
- Report and meet weekly with Bancassurance Area Manager, Branch Managers, and Relationship Managers for production updates and campaigns.
- Perform other tasks as required by immediate supervisor for business purposes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in any course.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written).
- 1 year experience in Sales.
- Mondays to Fridays (Dayshift).
- Monthly Salary and Monthly Transportation Allowance.
- Observes Philippine Holidays.
