Job Summary The Accounting Specialist assists the CFO in managing the financial records of the company, making sure financial records are accurate and complete. He/she logs all financial information necessary for governmental reporting and to ensure financial goals are met. Key Responsibilities: Records transactions such as purchases and expenses, sales and inventory Makes sure sales are paid on time and sends bills for collection Process payments for supplies, materials, rent, utilities and other expenses Encodes transactions in quickbooks and reconciles accounts Assists the CFO during payroll periods Generates financial reports as requested Files government reportorial requirements such as VAT returns, withholding tax returns, income tax returns, SEC reports etc and liaises with external auditor Performs other reasonable duties that may be assigned from time to time Skills and Qualifications: Graduate of Accountancy or BS Management major in Accountancy Experience not required though willingness to learn is important Detailed and organized person is a must to have a systematic system of handling accounts Proficiency in Excel is a must to navigate reports Knowledge of tax and financial reporting laws Mathematical skills to double-check own calculations to prevent errors Strong analytical skills to locate and correct accounting imbalances Multitasking ability to work on multiple tasks throughout the day Time management skills to ensure reports are submitted on time #J-18808-Ljbffr
