Job Summary

The Accounting Specialist assists the CFO in managing the financial records of the company, making sure financial records are accurate and complete. He/she logs all financial information necessary for governmental reporting and to ensure financial goals are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Records transactions such as purchases and expenses, sales and inventory
  • Makes sure sales are paid on time and sends bills for collection
  • Process payments for supplies, materials, rent, utilities and other expenses
  • Encodes transactions in quickbooks and reconciles accounts
  • Assists the CFO during payroll periods
  • Generates financial reports as requested
  • Files government reportorial requirements such as VAT returns, withholding tax returns, income tax returns, SEC reports etc and liaises with external auditor
  • Performs other reasonable duties that may be assigned from time to time

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Graduate of Accountancy or BS Management major in Accountancy
  • Experience not required though willingness to learn is important
  • Detailed and organized person is a must to have a systematic system of handling accounts
  • Proficiency in Excel is a must to navigate reports
  • Knowledge of tax and financial reporting laws
  • Mathematical skills to double-check own calculations to prevent errors
  • Strong analytical skills to locate and correct accounting imbalances
  • Multitasking ability to work on multiple tasks throughout the day
  • Time management skills to ensure reports are submitted on time
