Job Summary

The Accounting Assistant supports the Accounting Specialist in completing basic bookkeeping, clerical and accounting tasks. He files all financial reports and reminds the Accounting Specialist of deadlines making sure financial processes are smoothly running.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates with the Accounting Specialist to successfully execute various accounting tasks
  • Creates financial documents like bills, invoices, purchase orders, payables, receivables as the Accounting Specialist may direct or assign
  • Encodes sales documents in MIA software and generates corresponding daily reports
  • Prepares DR and SI for sales
  • Informs CFO when inventory needs replenishment
  • Encodes transactions in quickbooks when necessary
  • Submits reports as the Accounting Specialist may assign
  • Performs other reasonable duties that may be assigned from time to time

Qualifications:

  • Must have taken at least 6 units of Accounting
  • Understands bookkeeping entries
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member
  • Detailed and organized person is a must to have a systematic system of handling accounts
  • Proficiency in Excel is a must to navigate reports
  • Knowledge of tax and financial reporting laws is a plus
  • Mathematical skills to double-check own calculations to prevent errors
  • Time management skills to ensure reports are submitted on time
