- Serve as a primary point of contact for employee concerns, grievances, and workplace conflicts.
- Investigate employee complaints and allegations of misconduct, discrimination, or harassment; document findings and recommend appropriate actions.
- Advise managers and supervisors on employee relations best practices, policy interpretation, and disciplinary actions.
- Collaborate with HR and legal teams to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Support performance management processes, including coaching, corrective actions, and termination decisions.
- Develop and deliver training programs on workplace behavior, conflict resolution, and company policies.
- Analyze trends in employee relations issues and recommend solutions for improvement.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and documentation.
- Participate in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
- Support organizational change efforts and help manage employee communication during transitions.
- Job Title: Employee Relations Specialist
- Educational Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Experience Level: 3-5 years of experience in employee relations or HR roles.
- Skills and Competencies: Strong communication, employee relations, coaching, and leadership development skills; proficiency in HR business partnering and organizational development; computer literate.
- Responsibilities and Duties: Manage employee relations issues, facilitate coaching sessions, support leadership development initiatives, and partner with HR on organizational strategy.
- Working Conditions: Standard office environment; may involve occasional travel.
- Qualities and Traits: Strong interpersonal skills, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to promoting a positive work culture.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- 3–5+ years of experience in employee relations or human resources.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR practices.
- Excellent communication, mediation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite.
- HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP) is a plus.
