Job Purpose:

The incumbent will assist in the development, implementation and assessment of health and safety programs that ensure the transportation fleet (land and/or marine) and related facilities remains in compliance with all laws and regulations as well as company policies and standards relating to transportation and occupational health and safety. He / She will also assist in the documentation, implementation and maintenance of records for Quality, Health & Safety and Environment Policies and Management systems.

Main Accountabilities:

Facilitates the Hauler selection and accreditation process, i.e. participates in the Hauler Risk Appraisals, Annual Truck Roadworthiness Inspections, Hauler and Driver Safety performance reviews and enhancement programs aimed at reducing risks and improving performanceFacilitates the Training & Certification process i.e. selection and accreditation, on-boarding and induction program, safe driving, safety work procedures and practices, driving assessments and/or post training evaluations.Assists in the development, implementation and assessment of Transport Safety systems and programs (i.e. Transport and related facilities H&S Standards, Monitoring of Key Indicators, Contractor Safety Management for Transport Operations, Emergency Preparedness, others)Helps in meeting customer expectations by improving delivery efficiency and inculcate safe work practices through the drivers. Provides safety consultation to customers on product delivery and receiving operations.Facilitates Incident reporting and investigation (i.e. Root Cause Analysis) on Transport related incidents (land and/or marine and related facilties) and helps ensure that follow-throughs on action plans are made and solutions to prevent incident recurrence are implementedProvides Contractors with relevant safety topics which are discussed during their regular Toolbox Meeting. Circulates Safety Alerts (Fatal, LTI/NLTI, Near-miss incidents, etc.) to all external (haulers / drivers) and internal stakeholders (employees)Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders (e.g. different internal departments, Haulers, NGOs, LGUs, Regulatory Agencies) to promote transport safety awareness and implement initiatives.Requirements:Minimum 2 years of experience as a safety officer from logistics or supply chain industry.Knowledge of Environments, Health and Safety programs. Should have good communication skills.Should possess valid driving license. Company Overview
