JOB DESCRIPTION:

Under general supervision, assists in the electrical installation works and electrical equipment repair; and assists in the Office's maintenance and construction works such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, mechanical and other related works.

FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Proficient understanding of electrical systems, including circuits, components and wiring with commitment to following safety regulations, guidelines, and codes to maintain the safety of personnel and properties.
2. Ability to install and maintain electrical systems, including lighting, wiring, and electrical panels.
3. Assists in planning, coordinating, and overseeing maintenance, renovation and construction projects for building and grounds.
4. Collaborates with contractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure projects timelines and quality standards are met.
5. Effective communication with team members, supervisors and clients to report progress and discuss project details and to ensure smooth operations.
6. Provides recommendations for building maintenance, repairs, and improvements based on industry best practices.
7. Maintains accurate and organized records of building specifications, maintenance history, and project documentation.
8. Ensures that all building maintenance and improvement activities comply with safety regulations and standards.
9. Identifies potential safety risks and recommends corrective actions.
10. Attends the required electrical and electro-mechanical maintenance, construction, installation and repairs of the building, electrical equipment.
11. Assists in plumbing/piping works, carpentry, masonry and other related facilities tasks.
12. Assists the Buildings and Grounds Unit Head; regulates and supervises the activities of unskilled and skilled personnel and technicians including inspection of their works.
13. Provides technical assistance/advice on maintenance and construction works including the use and care of building equipment and facilities.
14. Prepares and submits monthly reports to immediate supervisors including accomplishment reports and feedback on provided technical assistance.
15. Performs other related tasks as assigned or required.
