Company Overview: Join our forward-thinking team as a Senior Business Development Manager. Reporting directly to the Business and Corporate Development Director, you will support our business development activities to enhance our portfolio and meet growth targets. You will supervise Business Development Officers and Assistants, ensuring excellence in lead generation, presentation development, follow-ups, and contract finalization.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead Generation and Management:

  • Research and expand untapped channels for lead generation.
  • Supervise the management of business leads from various sources including the company's website, public biddings, and referrals.
  • Represent the company in client and industry engagements to expand our network and knowledge.
  • Monitor leads and generate insights on business and industry trends.

Client Relations and Information Cascade:

  • Manage and update leads, develop responses to RFPs, and maintain communication with inactive leads for future engagements.
  • Conduct research about brands or projects prior to meetings and presentations.
  • Present company credentials and handle client queries.
  • Participate in client briefings, gather necessary information, and cascade it to the business development and servicing teams.
  • Correspond with clients for clarifications and requirements.

Proposal and Strategy Development:

  • Conduct comprehensive industry and brand research to generate communication strategy insights.
  • Lead the formation of strategic proposals in collaboration with the Strategic Planning team, including research, strategy, and tactical plans.
  • Review costing and final proposals prior to client submission and monitor proposal status.

Contract Finalization and Account Transition:

  • Ensure documentation of all agreements and secure necessary signatures.
  • Provide copies of agreements to the client servicing and finance teams.
  • Introduce the assigned client servicing team to clients for proper transition.

Business Development:

  • Stay updated with the communication landscape and develop new business solutions or services.
  • Work with the Corporate Development Team to update the company's strategic profile and maintain positive visibility in the market.
  • Monitor and analyze lead sources, proposal quality, and post-engagement initiatives to strengthen best practices.

Knowledge and Data Management:

  • Organize and properly file business development documents.
  • Track the progress of pitches and ensure internal reports and presentations are regularly updated.

Team Development and Management:

  • Establish and monitor staff performance and development goals.
  • Collaborate with the HR Unit on team structure design, recruitment, performance monitoring, and career development.

Financial Management:

  • Plan accurate unit budgets and monitor expenses.
  • Ensure optimal use of company resources.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Public Relations, Communication, Social Sciences, or related field.
  • Experience in strategic planning is an advantage.
  • 4-5 years of experience in the PR/advertising industry, ideally as an Account Manager, is a plus.
  • Experience with corporate and government accounts.
  • In-depth knowledge of government projects is highly desirable.
