JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for the management of the Dealers/Industrial Market and Modern Trade Sales Group as follows: (1) Achievement of Monthly Sales Volume and Collection Targets (2) Timely collection of all Sales accounts receivables within agreed credit terms as agreed with the customer (3) Management of inventory by way of recommending to the COO what raw materials and finished goods to buy and the timetable for purchase through the SMRR (4) Review of the Sales Organization and hiring of competent Sales Managers, (5) Responsible for coaching and training of the Sales Managers and Sales Supervisors by way of identifying their training needs and recommending Training Programs to upgrade their skills. (6) Review & revision of Sales Policies & Procedures and ensuring compliance to these by the Sales Team at all times.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

SALES MANAGEMENT:

1. Develops and recommends the Annual Sales Plan & Sales Strategies for Dealers/ Industrial Market & Modern Trade and submits to the COO / Excom for approval.

2. Monitors the monthly achievement of Sales & Collection Targets by the Sales Managers and takes appropriate action to address shortfalls.

3. Personally sells to his assigned Big Distributors and ensures achievement of his monthly Sales & Collection Targets.

4. Submits regular and timely reports in writing to the COO to inform him of new developments in the market that could affect the sales performance of his group.

5. Provides coaching to his Sales Managers and accompanies them in dealing with difficult customers to ensure achievement of their Sales Targets.

PEOPLE MANAGEMENT

1. Together with the Sales Managers, conducts Training Needs Analysis to identify Training needs of all SCP Sales personnel and recommends Training Programs for their development and improvement.

2. Develops Sales Training Manuals and conducts training in order to address the learning and development needs of the Sales Managers.

3. Reviews the DM Sales Organization and recommends changes if needed to make it more effective.

4. Identifies non-performers among the Sales Managers, provides coaching to improve performance or recommends replacement if improvement is not seen.

5. Establishes KRA's & KPI's for Sales Managers and conducts regular monthly review of their performances.

6. Ensures all Sales personnel comply with the code of conduct.

7. Monitors performance of all Sales personnel by reviewing the following sales performance and collection reports on a monthly basis.

a) Sales Performance vs. Target and vs. Last year's Performance (Month-to-date and Year-to-date)

b) Active accounts vs. Total accounts

d) Sales Call vs. approved itinerary.

e) Total Productive Calls vs Total Calls made.

8. Ensures that all required management reports are submitted by the Sales Managers on time and that all company documents and confidential information are well protected at all times.

9. Updates all sales personnel on their monthly ratings or assessment based on scorecard and provides disciplinary action for underperformers in collaboration with HR Department.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Graduate of Marketing, Business Administration, Economics or related courses from reputable universities.

Post Graduate studies in Business Management and other related post graduate studies preferred

Minimum of Twenty (20) years of sales work experience for the sales of Construction related materials, ten (10) years of which should be in a Senior Sales Management position.

He must have established solid network with Distributors, Wholesalers, and Retailers nationwide for construction related products such as paints, steel bars, cement, etc.

He must possess good management and leadership skills. He must be hands-on in managing all sales activities.

He must have a good knowledge of Sales Strategies and the Analytical Ability to develop and recommend appropriate ones to grow his market.

With excellent communication skills

He must have good initiative and a sense of urgency.

Preferably Chinese speaking
