Empower Yourself. Under limited supervision, administers the Employee Relations function and acts in a consultative capacity to management (All levels of management and assigned business clients) on a variety of issues related to employee relations. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Partners with and provides support to management on employee relations issues, including but not limited to: actions conducting investigations, disciplinary actions (including involuntary terminations), and responding to EEOC charges.
Provides coaching and conflict resolution to management and employees. Tracks trends and makes recommendations for improvement to HR or department management. Serves as a subject matter expert on employment laws and regulations in the Philippines.
Serves as a point of contact on related concerns to employee and labor relations from departments and service providers. Monitors and ensures all documents necessary for government compliance and other mandatory requirements for DOLE inspection are accurate and readily available. Provides support and coordination with the business leaders regarding required documentation and coaches managers on the process and relevant reports.
Maintains a comprehensive understanding and serves as subject matter expert on local Philippines and DOLE employment law and regulations to ensure compliance and to mitigate risk to the organization. In coordination with HR Leadership, supports company policies and procedures and creates and interprets policy specific to the Philippines location. Provides input and recommendations regarding current HR policies and procedures to HR Leadership and HR functional areas.
Reinforce initiatives within respective client groups as defined by HR leadership or business unit management. May work with HR Leadership in supporting enterprise-wide employee engagement activities. QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience.5+ years relevant work experience.
Employee Relations and/or HR Generalist experience in the region in related industry preferred. Advanced level of knowledge of current and local DOLE and PH employment laws and regulations as well as the Occupational Health and Safety regulations. Excellent interpersonal, negotiating, collaboration, and communication skills required.
PHR or SPHR certification preferred. Proficiency in MS Office. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required.
