Employee Relations Specialist

This role is responsible for fostering a positive work environment by managing employee relations issues, conducting investigations, and supporting HR policies and programs. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of labor laws, conflict resolution, and HR best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations concerns, grievances, and conflict resolution.
  • Conduct thorough and impartial investigations into complaints of harassment, discrimination, policy violations, or other workplace issues.
  • Collaborate with managers and HR leadership to address performance, behavioral, or attendance issues.
  • Ensure consistent and fair application of company policies and procedures.
  • Assist in developing and updating HR policies, procedures, and employee handbooks in compliance with labor laws and best practices.
  • Maintain detailed and confidential records of employee relations matters and investigations.
  • Support initiatives that promote employee engagement, workplace culture, and employee retention.
  • Advise managers and employees on workplace practices, legal compliance, and effective communication.
  • Participate in training programs on conflict resolution, harassment prevention, and company policies.
  • Monitor employee morale and workplace trends to proactively address potential issues.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in employee relations, HR generalist, or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws, employment regulations, and HR best practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport.
  • Experience conducting investigations and handling sensitive employee matters.
  • High level of confidentiality, professionalism, and emotional intelligence.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems.
