Department Duties and Responsibilities
As a Business Development Manager, the Employee is required to perform the following duties and
undertake the following responsibilities in a professional manner.
Strategic Planning and Growth
a. Identify and evaluate industries and emerging trends that represent growth
opportunities for Comm&Sense. These should align with the agency's core strengths
and competitive edge.
b. Develop and execute short-term and long-term marketing plans aimed at generating
qualified leads, improving brand visibility, and expanding the client portfolio.
c. Create a yearly business development program with clearly defined activities,
campaigns, and budget allocation to meet sales targets.
d. Lead the creation of marketing materials such as audio-visual presentations,
credentials deck, social media ads strategy etc. for the agency to ensure proper and
optimal representation.Target Setting and Performance Management
a. Propose yearly and quarterly sales targets, broken down into actionable milestones,
ensuring alignment with Comm&Sense's growth objectives.
b. Develop detailed strategies to achieve targets, including pipeline management, lead
prioritization, and close monitoring of progress.
c. Regularly track and analyze the team's performance against KPIs, providing updates
and recommendations to the Managing Director.Client Acquisition and Pitches
a. Build and nurture initial relationships with prospective clients, ensuring professional
and value-driven interactions.
b. Lead the creation and delivery of credentials presentations, ensuring they effectively
communicate Comm&Sense's expertise and differentiation in the market.
c. Organize and oversee pitches for potential clients, coordinating resources across
departments to deliver compelling, data-driven proposals.
d. Serve as the lead presenter during pitches whenever possible, positioning
Comm&Sense as the preferred partner for corporate communications and
marketing needs.
Contracts and Onboarding
a. Oversee the preparation and negotiation of Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and
other contractual documents to secure new clients.
b. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a seamless handoff to the assigned Tribe,
managing the onboarding process and ensuring client expectations are met.Collaboration and Leadership
a. Act as the liaison between the Business Development Team and other internal
teams, fostering collaboration to deliver seamless client experiences.
b. Represent the Business Development Team at ManCom meetings, providing
strategic input on growth initiatives and opportunities for improvement.Monitoring and Reporting
a. Regularly update the Managing Director on the status of leads, opportunities, and
overall sales performance.
b. Adjust strategies and tactics based on performance analysis to ensure continuous
improvement in business development efforts.
