The Mandarin Language Translator is responsible for accurately translating written and spoken content from Mandarin to English and vice versa. This role will report directly to the Language Services Manager and collaborate with various departments to ensure effective communication and understanding between Mandarin-speaking clients and the company. The translator will play a crucial role in facilitating smooth business operations and maintaining strong relationships with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders.

Candidates must demonstrate conversational level Mandarin fluency to effectively translate written and spoken content.

A minimum of intermediate English proficiency is required for accurate document translation between languages.

Responsibilities of Mandarin Language Translator


• Translate written documents from Mandarin to English and vice versa accurately and efficiently.

• Interpret verbal conversations and meetings between Mandarin and English speakers.

• Assist in the preparation and translation of marketing materials, including brochures, presentations, and website content.

• Collaborate with other translators and proofreaders to ensure consistency and accuracy in translations.

• Conduct research and stay updated on industry-specific terminology to provide accurate translations.

• Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.

• Adapt translations to target audience and cultural nuances to ensure effective communication.

• Assist in the localization of products and services for the Mandarin-speaking market.

• Provide language support and assistance to Mandarin-speaking employees or clients.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and understanding between Mandarin and English speakers.

A minimum of 1-2 years of professional translation experience is required for this position.

Basic interpretation skills are essential for conducting verbal conversations and meetings between language speakers.
