About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Compensation and Benefits Specialist to join our growing team. This role is vital in ensuring that all employee compensation, government-mandated benefits, and banking transactions are processed accurately and in full compliance with Philippine labor laws and regulatory requirements.

You will manage payroll-related statutory contributions (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, BIR), employee registrations, and support end-to-end bank processes such as account openings and salary disbursements.

Key Responsibilities

Compensation & Payroll Support

  • Assist in payroll processing and validation in coordination with the Payroll team
  • Ensure accurate calculation and timely remittance of government-mandated contributions (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, BIR withholding tax)
  • Coordinate with Finance to ensure disbursements and reports are aligned with payroll schedules

Statutory Benefits & Compliance

  • Register new employees to SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, and BIR
  • Monitor and update employee records in line with changes in employment status or government requirements
  • Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual reports to relevant agencies
  • Stay updated on DOLE, BIR, and other agency circulars related to compensation and benefits

Bank & Account Management

  • Coordinate with partner banks for employee salary account registration
  • Facilitate bulk upload files, salary disbursement templates, and issue resolution with bank partners
  • Assist employees with account-related concerns and ensure timely account opening during onboarding

Documentation & Audits

  • Maintain organized records of government remittances, bank transactions, and employee registrations
  • Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and reports

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
  • At least 2-4 years of relevant experience in Compensation & Benefits or Payroll in the Philippines
  • In-depth knowledge of Philippine statutory benefits and compliance (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, BIR)
  • Familiarity with bank payroll processes and account management
  • Proficient in MS Excel, HRIS, and government portals (e.g., My.SSS, PhilHealth Member Portal, Pag-IBIG Virtual Office, eFPS)
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and confidentiality
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Nice to Have

  • Experience working with payroll software (e.g., SAP, Sprout, etc.)
  • Exposure to labor audit preparation or DOLE inspections
  • Knowledge of labor standards and compensation benchmarking

Job Type: Full-time
