Job Description:

Civil Site Engineer (Telecom Projects) is responsible for overseeing and executing all civil works related to telecom infrastructure projects. This includes site preparation, tower foundation construction, shelter installation, trenching, cable ducting, and ensuring compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and timelines. The role involves coordination between contractors, clients, and other project teams to ensure successful site implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Site Preparation & Execution

  • Supervise and execute civil works for telecom sites including tower foundations, equipment foundations, fencing, cable trenches, and site leveling.
  • Conduct site surveys, soil testing coordination, and verification of site readiness.
  • Ensure adherence to approved drawings, designs, and construction standards.
  • Monitor subcontractor activities and workmanship on-site.

2. Quality Control & Compliance

  • Inspect and verify materials used in construction meet the approved specifications.
  • Ensure all civil works are executed per project quality and safety standards.
  • Maintain daily site records, measurement sheets, and quality control documentation.
  • Coordinate site inspections with consultants and client representatives.

3. Project Coordination

  • Coordinate with telecom equipment, electrical, and tower erection teams to ensure seamless site integration.
  • Liaise with local authorities for permissions, inspections, and site handovers.
  • Report project progress, site challenges, and resource requirements to the Project Manager.

4. Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE)

  • Ensure all HSE regulations and safe work practices are implemented at site.
  • Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings for site personnel.

5. Documentation & Reporting

  • Prepare and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
  • Document as-built drawings, site photos, and civil completion reports.
  • Support project close-out and handover documentation.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Experience: at least 1 year of experience in telecom infrastructure or related civil works (tower foundations, shelters, DG plinths, etc.).
  • Technical Skills:
  • Knowledge of telecom site construction standards and specifications.
  • Ability to read and interpret civil drawings and BOQs.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, MS Office, and basic surveying tools.
  • Soft Skills: Strong coordination, communication, and leadership abilities.
  • Certifications (Preferred): HSE / Quality certifications, tower safety training, etc.
