We are looking for a Site Engineer Job description includes overseeing construction projects on-site, managing daily operations, and ensuring work aligns with design specifications, budgets, and schedules.

Key responsibilities involve supervising staff and subcontractors, conducting surveys, preparing reports, and enforcing health and safety regulations. They are responsible for coordinating with clients and other stakeholders, solving technical problems, and maintaining project documentation.

Key responsibilities

  • Project oversight: Supervise all on-site activities, from planning through completion, to ensure the project stays on track.
  • Technical supervision: Check technical drawings and designs for accuracy, provide technical advice, and conduct site surveys and setting out.
  • Team and contractor management: Coordinate and supervise on-site workers and contractors, helping to ensure quality standards are met and resolving issues that arise.
  • Compliance and safety: Enforce health and safety protocols and ensure the project complies with all government regulations and legal requirements.
  • Documentation and reporting: Maintain detailed site diaries and documentation, and prepare reports for project management and clients.
  • Resource management: Help control the budget and resources, including monitoring materials and plant usage.
  • Problem-solving: Troubleshoot any technical or unexpected challenges that occur on site and coordinate with management or clients for solutions.

Required qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field is typically required.
  • Experience in construction, including knowledge of methods, materials, and regulations, is essential.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills are critical.
  • Proficiency in technical drawings, scheduling software (like MS Project), and sometimes CAD software is necessary.
  • The ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and work independently and as part of a team is important.
