About the role
As a Payroll Officer at PSCo', you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for the company. This full-time position is based in Quezon City, Metro Manila, and will involve managing all aspects of the payroll function to support the organisation's financial and HR operations.
What you'll be doing
- Accurately calculate and process bi-weekly payroll for all employees, including salaries, deductions, and benefits
- Maintain employee payroll records and ensure all documentation is properly filed and organised
- Liaise with the HR and accounting teams to resolve any payroll-related queries or discrepancies
- Prepare and submit all necessary payroll tax filings and other government reports on time
- Implement and maintain payroll policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations
- Assist in the preparation of management reports and provide insights to support strategic decision-making
- Stay up-to-date with changes in payroll legislation and regulations, making necessary adjustments to the company's payroll processes
What we're looking for
- At least 2 years of experience in a payroll officer or similar role, preferably in the Accounting and Payroll industry
- Strong knowledge of payroll processing, tax regulations, and HR compliance requirements
- Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy
- Proficient in using payroll and accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks, Sage)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- A relevant degree or qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
