This is a remote position.

Schedule: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (Pacific Time – Marysville, WA, USA)
Includes one 30-minute unpaid break and two 15-minute paid breaks
Total Weekly Hours: 45 Hours

This is an excellent opportunity to deepen your expertise in QuickBooks Online (QBO) and gain hands-on experience with U.S. tax preparation while working in a collaborative, remote environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive bookkeeping and maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks Online

  • Assist with preparing U.S. federal tax returns, including Forms 1040, 1120S, and 1065

  • Support the use of tax preparation software (e.g., Drake or similar)

  • Collaborate with remote team members and management to ensure timely deliverables

  • Communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues and clients

  • Maintain compliance with firm security and data privacy standards

  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives and efficiency efforts

  • Deliver outstanding service to a diverse portfolio of small business clients

Requirements

  • QuickBooks Online Certification (required)

  • Strong knowledge of bookkeeping practices and GAAP principles

  • Hands-on experience with U.S. federal tax preparation

  • Proficiency with Drake tax software (or similar platforms)

  • Familiarity with tax return forms (1040, 1120S, 1065)

  • Ability to work U.S. hours (with some flexibility after 6 months)

  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and communication abilities
