Job Description

The Technical Support Engineer is responsible for providing comprehensive technical assistance in the design, estimation, fabrication, and installation of aluminum and uPVC glass window and door systems.

He/She ensures that all projects meet structural integrity, waterproofing performance, and aesthetic requirements based on client specifications and engineering standards.


Key Responsibilities
  • Review architectural and structural drawings to determine suitable window and door systems.
  • Prepare technical drawings, cutting lists, and material take-offs for fabrication and installation.
  • Support the sales and design team with correct system selection, section profiles, and accessories.
  • Evaluate shop drawings and coordinate revisions with architects and contractors.
  • Conduct site inspections, verify measurements, and provide installation guidance.
  • Troubleshoot onsite issues (misalignment, leakage, fitting problems) and recommend solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with performance standards (water tightness, air infiltration, hardware operation).
  • Provide technical training for installers, fabricators, and sales engineers.
  • Liaise with suppliers regarding accessories, profiles, and fabrication tolerances.
  • Support R&D in testing and improving window/door systems.
  • Prepare documentation for QA/QC, test reports, and as-built drawings.

Qualifications
  • Graduate of Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Architecture (or equivalent technical course).
  • With at least 2–3 years' experience in aluminum or uPVC window/door systems.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD/ and basic design software.
  • Strong knowledge of local profile systems and hardware assembly.
  • Good understanding of fabrication, installation, and waterproofing principles.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Willing to conduct site visits and inspections.

Preferred Skills
  • Knowledge in structural glass, curtain wall, or cladding systems.
  • Familiar with testing standards (ASTM, AAMA, or local standards).
  • Experience in coordinating with contractors and project managers.

Work Environment
  • Office-based with some site coordination visits.
