Café and Shop Manager (Den Keeper)

The Den Keeper is the steward of the space—ensuring not only smooth café operations but also that every guest experience resonates with thoughtfulness and grace. This role blends operational rigor with creative leadership, guiding the café toward its sales and service goals.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees full-time and outsourced staff scheduling with balance and fairness
  • Leads pre-shift briefings to align the team with daily goals
  • Monitors daily sales performance, sets targets, and ensures achievement of average daily sales
  • Reviews and manages inventory; coordinates supply orders with the Lead Chef
  • Produces weekly and end-of-month reports for leadership review
  • Identifies and escalates operational, maintenance, or staffing concerns
  • Serves as the lead presence in ensuring the café runs seamlessly from open to close

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Manager in a similar leadership role in the food and beverage industry with a talent for team development
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage a fast-paced environment and make quick decisions
  • Strong understanding of restaurant operations, including inventory management, financial performance, and customer service
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance standards
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

  • Tuesday to Saturday; 9AM to 6PM
