The Business Development Associate plays a key role in driving revenue and client acquisition for the agency. This role focuses on identifying and converting new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and ensuring smooth coordination between clients and internal teams.

The position requires a sales-driven and strategy-savvy individual who understands marketing campaigns, agency processes, and how to effectively pitch creative solutions to brands and partners. This person is expected to own the sales pipeline end-to-end — from prospecting and pitching to awarding and payment follow-ups.

Key Responsibilities:1. Lead Generation & Sales Acquisition

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities with brands, companies, and organizations aligned with the agency's services.
  • Actively generate leads through research, referrals, industry events, online platforms, and partnerships.
  • Maintain a healthy sales pipeline and consistently follow up on warm and hot leads.
  • Present agency capabilities and service offerings to potential clients with confidence and clarity.
  • Achieve or exceed monthly and quarterly sales and revenue targets.

2. Client Relationship Management

  • Build and nurture strong, long-term relationships with clients and key decision-makers.
  • Serve as the main point of contact during the business development process — from pitch presentation to deal closing.
  • Understand client needs, marketing objectives, and timelines to recommend the most effective agency solutions.
  • Ensure a professional, smooth, and responsive client experience at all touchpoints.

3. Pitching, Proposals & Campaign Strategy

  • Collaborate with the internal strategy, accounts, and creative teams to develop compelling proposals, marketing decks, and campaign strategies.
  • Deliver and present proposals to clients — highlighting clear solutions, timelines, and value.
  • Follow up on pitch status and secure awarding of projects and campaigns.
  • Ensure proposals are aligned with client briefs, objectives, and agency capabilities.

4. Follow-ups, Awarding & Payment Coordination

  • Proactively follow up with clients on proposal feedback, awarding decisions, and next steps.
  • Coordinate closely with the accounts and finance team to monitor invoicing, billing, and payment collection.
  • Track all deadlines, commitments, and client approvals to ensure deals are closed efficiently and handed over properly.
  • Maintain accountability and ensure no follow-ups or timelines are missed.

5. Market Research & Opportunity Building

  • Conduct regular research to identify potential brands, industries, and marketing trends relevant to agency services.
  • Monitor competitor campaigns and market shifts to spot new business opportunities.
  • Provide strategic input and feedback to help shape future agency growth initiatives.

6. Reporting & Coordination

  • Maintain accurate and updated records of all leads, deals, client communications, and follow-up activities in CRM or lead trackers.
  • Submit weekly and monthly sales reports to management on pipeline status and performance.
  • Work closely with internal teams for smooth project handover after client awarding.
  • Ensure all necessary documentation is complete and properly filed.
