Are you an experienced finance professional looking to make an impact in a values-driven organisation? We're seeking a Finance Officer to oversee end-to-end financial operations and ensure our billing, payroll, and reporting processes run smoothly, accurately, and in line with compliance standards.

This role is critical as we transition from internal finance administration to a fully professional financial management model. You'll work closely with our Executive Support Officer during the handover period to ensure a seamless transfer of responsibilities and ongoing financial excellence.

What you'll do:
  • Manage invoicing across NDIS, DVA, and private clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Oversee accounts receivable/payable, payroll, and reconciliations
  • Ensure SCHADS Award and regulatory compliance in payroll and reporting
  • Maintain financial systems (Xero) and produce accurate reports for management and audits
  • Support budgeting, variance analysis, and cash flow management
  • Drive process improvements and strengthen financial controls
  • Provide training and support on new finance procedures during the transition phase
What we're looking for:
  • Experience across billing, payroll, AR/AP, and financial reporting
  • Strong knowledge of Australian accounting standards and compliance requirements
  • Familiarity with NDIS/DVA billing and SCHADS Award compliance
  • Proficiency with Xero and integrated financial systems
  • Detail-oriented, organised, and proactive in problem solving
  • Ability to manage confidential information with integrity
