Marketing & Sales Operations Lead (focus on conferences and exhibitions)
Location: Philippines (remote-first, with occasional in-person meetings in Makati, BGC or Alabang)

About This Role
SparkHorizon is growing. This role supports our ambitious marketing and revenue plans for 2026 and beyond.
This role is a senior, hands-on marketing and sales operations role focused on growth, not a narrow specialist position. The role combines marketing execution with sales operations, pipeline management, and founder support, with a strong emphasis on commercial impact.
This is a startup, so you also need to be comfortable doing hands-on sales operations work such as list building, lead follow-up, and LinkedIn outreach.
A major part of this role is ensuring the success of our conference and exhibition marketing strategy, where we will exhibit at five conferences and trade shows in 2026.
This role works closely with the founder/CEO, will have significant autonomy, and has the ability to impact the overall strategy for the business.
Our target market is small and medium-sized businesses in the Australian clean energy sector, especially in solar and electric vehicle charging.
At times this role will involve hands-on coordination and admin work, particularly around conferences, outreach, and follow-up.
Key Responsibilities
- Book and plan SparkHorizon's exhibits at trade shows in Australia. This includes all copy, marketing materials, and messaging.
- Design and operate sales pipelines to support these conferences, with pre-conference research, list building and outreach, and post-conference lead management and follow-up.
- Engage and manage external contractors and freelancers where needed.
- Update and maintain the website at
- Working with the founder, build an organic content strategy on LinkedIn.
- Design marketing materials including brochures, one-pagers, and slideshows.
- Improve basic SEO and AI visibility, engaging external support where needed.
- Manage and improve automation in our CRM (HubSpot).
Note: this is not a sales role with individual sales targets.
Who We're Looking For
We're open to a variety of profiles, including but not limited to:
- Marketing operations or sales operations roles in B2B environments
- Startup or scale-up operations, particularly in founder-led businesses
- Agency account management or client services, supporting senior leaders or partners
- Executive assistant or operations support roles with significant commercial or marketing exposure.
- Revenue, growth, or commercial operations roles supporting sales teams
Preferred capabilities and experience (not all are required):
- 5 or more years of working experience
- Direct experience in marketing OR close experience working with marketing teams
- Experience working with founders or senior leaders
- Experience working with international colleagues or clients
- Experience running events and exhibitions
- Very strong written communication skills
