About the role

We are seeking an experienced Accounting/Finance Manager to join our team at Manila Bankers Life Insurance Corp' in Makati City, Metro Manila. As the Accounting/Finance Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the financial accounting and reporting functions within our organisation. What you'll be doing

  1. Manage and oversee all financial accounting and reporting activities, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll processing
  2. Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, budgets, and other financial reports to support business decision-making
  3. Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and internal policies
  4. Implement and maintain effective internal controls and accounting systems
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support business initiatives
  6. Supervise and develop a team of finance and accounting professionals
  7. Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost optimisation

What we're looking for

  1. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with 5+ years of experience in a similar role within the financial services or insurance industry
  2. Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles, standards, and reporting requirements
  3. Proficient in the use of financial software and data analysis tools
  4. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data
  5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels
  6. Experience in managing and developing a team of finance and accounting professionals
  7. Familiarity with relevant regulations and compliance requirements in the insurance industry
