About the role

MANILA BANKERS LIFE INSURANCE CORP' is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join our dynamic team in Makati City Metro Manila. As the Accounting Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the company's financial accounting and reporting functions on a full-time basis.

What you'll be doing

  1. Manage and supervise the day-to-day operations of the accounting team
  2. Oversee the preparation of financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
  3. Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions
  4. Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard the company's assets
  5. Liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations
  6. Analyse financial data and provide insightful reports to support decision-making
  7. Contribute to the development and improvement of accounting policies and procedures
  8. Mentor and train junior members of the accounting team

What we're looking for

  1. A bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field, with a CPA certification
  2. Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role within the Financial Accounting & Reporting industry
  3. Proficient in the use of accounting software and systems
  4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  7. Thorough understanding of relevant accounting standards and regulations
