The Purchasing Assistant supports the Purchasing Manager in sourcing, ordering, and maintaining inventory for the company. This role involves handling supplier relationships, processing purchase orders, managing inventory levels, and ensuring that materials are delivered on time to meet operational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in sourcing and identifying potential suppliers for goods and services.
Prepare and process purchase orders based on inventory levels and departmental requests.
Ensure timely delivery of materials and supplies.
Maintain accurate records of purchases, inventory levels, and supplier contacts.
Communicate with suppliers to confirm order details, delivery dates, and payment terms.
Monitor and track inventory levels to prevent shortages or excess stock.
Collaborate with other departments to forecast purchasing needs and maintain proper inventory levels.
Assist in negotiating prices and terms with suppliers to ensure the best value for the company.
Handle administrative duties, including filing purchase orders, invoices, and other documentation.
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures regarding purchasing practices.
Assist in resolving any issues with suppliers, such as delayed shipments or incorrect orders.
Perform regular audits of stock levels and report discrepancies or issues to the Purchasing Manager.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or related field is a plus.
Previous experience in purchasing, inventory management, or a related field is preferred.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) and purchasing software/systems.
Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: Php18,070.00 per month
