Accounting Supervisor

Job Summary

The Accounting Supervisor will oversee the daily accounting operations of Lightforce Corp, ensuring accurate financial reporting, efficient processes, and compliance with local regulations. This role plays a key part in supporting the company's financial health, particularly in managing transactions related to sales, purchases, inventory, and project-based installations within the lighting fixture industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and guide the accounting team in handling accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, and inventory-related transactions.
• Review and monitor sales invoices, purchase orders, and job costing for lighting projects to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Oversee monthly and year-end closing activities, ensuring timely preparation of financial statements in accordance with PFRS and company policies.
• Prepare and analyze financial reports, account reconciliations, and variance analyses to support management decision-making.
• Monitor collections and credit control, ensuring customer accounts are updated and payments are collected promptly.
• Manage supplier payments and maintain good working relationships with vendors and subcontractors.
• Ensure tax compliance, including the preparation and filing of VAT, withholding tax, and other statutory government reports.
• Coordinate with auditors during internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and reconciliations.
• Implement and strengthen internal accounting controls, ensuring accuracy and integrity in all financial data.
• Support the Accounting Manager in budgeting, forecasting, and expense control initiatives.
• Train and mentor accounting staff to promote teamwork, efficiency, and continuous improvement in accounting processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related field.
• CPA license preferred but not required.
• At least 3–5 years of accounting experience, including 1–2 years in a supervisory role.
• Experience in a trading, construction, or lighting-related company is a strong advantage.
• Solid knowledge of Philippine tax laws and compliance requirements (BIR, SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG).
• Proficient in accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar) and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• High level of integrity, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with other departments such as Sales, Warehouse, and Procurement.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Php20, Php25,000.00 per month
