HR Assistant

An HR assistant supports the human resources department including maintaining employee records, recruitment and onboarding, processing payroll, and handling general inquiries. They are responsible for ensuring accuracy and confidentiality while providing support to both HR department and employees. Key duties include scheduling interviews, processing new hire paperwork, maintaining databases, and preparing reports. Core responsibilities
- Recruitment and hiring: Post job ads, screen resumes, schedule interviews, and assist with reference checks.
- Onboarding: Coordinate orientation sessions, process new hire paperwork, and ensure new employees have necessary access and information.
- Recordkeeping: Enter and update employee data, manage and maintain employee files, and ensure the employee database is accurate and confidential.
- Weekly Payroll: Collect time and attendance records, payroll processing manual, and help resolve payroll or benefits-related issues.
- Employee Relations: Answer employee questions, handle grievances, and act as a point of contact for general HR inquiries.
Key skills and qualifications
- Organizational skills: Strong attention to detail and time management are crucial for managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Communication skills: Excellent written and verbal communication is necessary for interacting with employees, applicants, and vendors.
- Confidentiality: Ability to handle sensitive employee information with the utmost discretion is essential.
- Problem-solving: Capable of identifying and resolving issues independently.
- Education: A bachelor's degree in Human Resources Development Management or Psychology
