Job Description
We are looking for a dynamic Assistant HR Manager to lead and manage our Human Resources function in the Philippines. This role partners with business leaders to ensure HR practices support organizational goals while remaining compliant with local labor laws and global standards.
As Assistant HR Manager, you will be responsible for end-to-end HR management, from recruitment and onboarding, to payroll, training, employee engagement, and performance management. You will also play a key role in shaping HR strategies and ensuring compliance with legal and organizational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead HR compliance and governance, ensuring adherence to company policies and local labor laws.
- Implement standardized HR processes and provide country-level insights to regional HR leadership.
- Manage full HR cycle, including:
- Recruitment & Onboarding: job descriptions, sourcing, screening, interviews, visas, induction.
- Personnel Administration: HR records, contracts, employee files, HRIS updates.
- Compensation & Benefits: payroll administration, employee benefits, social security.
- Training & Development: identify training needs, organize programs, track progress.
- Employee Engagement: design initiatives to boost morale and collaboration.
- Performance Management: support managers and employees in reviews and development.
- Handle interpersonal issues and foster a fair, inclusive, and collaborative work environment.
- Support implementation of global HR projects locally.
- Liaise with external stakeholders (auditors, legal advisors, tax consultants).
- Provide leadership by motivating and developing HR practices aligned with company values.
Qualifications
- 5–7 years of HR experience (freight forwarding industry experience is an advantage).
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field.
- Strong knowledge of Philippine labor laws and visa processing.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and people management skills.
- High level of confidentiality, integrity, and attention to detail.
- Proactive, independent, and pragmatic approach to problem-solving.
- Willingness to travel moderately within and outside the country.
