Job Summary

We are seeking a results-driven and strategic Business Development Manager to lead our market expansion efforts. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, managing strategic partnerships, and driving revenue growth within our pharmaceutical portfolio. You will bridge the gap between scientific innovation and commercial success, maintaining strong relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), hospital procurement networks, and distribution partners while ensuring strict adherence to industry compliance and regulations.

Key Responsibilities1. Strategic Growth & Market Expansion

  • Identify, evaluate, and pursue new business opportunities, including in-licensing/out-licensing deals, co-promotion agreements, and new market entries.
  • Develop and execute a strategic business development plan to achieve sales targets and market share growth.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and therapeutic gaps to recommend product portfolio expansions.

2. Client & Stakeholder Management

  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), hospital administrators, pharmacy chains, and government healthcare agencies.
  • Negotiate commercial contracts, tender bids, and supply agreements with key accounts.
  • Represent the company at industry conferences, medical congresses, and networking events.

3. Product Launch & Lifecycle Management

  • Collaborate with Marketing and Medical Affairs teams to ensure successful product launches.
  • Monitor product performance post-launch and implement strategies to sustain growth throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Provide feedback to R&D and manufacturing teams regarding market feedback and unmet medical needs.

4. Financial & Operational Analysis

  • Prepare detailed sales forecasts, budgets, and P&L analyses for potential business deals.
  • Conduct due diligence on potential partners and acquisition targets.
  • Track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and report on pipeline progress to senior leadership.

5. Compliance & Regulatory

  • Ensure all business development activities comply with local regulations (e.g., FDA, EMA, local health authorities) and internal company codes of conduct.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of healthcare laws, pricing reimbursement policies, and pharmacovigilance requirements.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Psychology and/or HR Management or a related field.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant Human Resources experience.
  • Proven experience in people management (leading a team or functional area).
  • Extensive functional knowledge in Recruitment and Organizational Development/L&D is essential.

Qualifications Education

  • Required: Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field.
  • Preferred: MBA or Master's degree in a business-related field.
