About the Role
The Key Account Manager role is a middle-management sales-oriented role, reporting to the National Sales Manager for Modern Trade / Key Accounts. The role is in charge of general management, end-to-end strategy, and execution of all sales related activities in the key account and categories in scope.
Responsibilities
- Sales - drives topline sales in the account
- Collections - ensures timely collections of receivables from the account
- Profitability - ensures profitability of the account by managing expenses, portfolio mix, trade discounts, and returns
Scope
- Category: Options: Dry or Chilled
- Accounts: Options: SM or Robinsons or Puregold or Convenience or Membership
Objectives / Key Outcomes
- Grow Gross Sales - Gross Sales
- Ensure Profitability - Contribution Margin
Qualifications
- 5+ years in sales handling national key accounts with head office engagement
- FMCG background preferred, distributor or principal
