Head of Business Development, Manila (Renewable Energy)

Our client is a leading renewable energy developer with a growing footprint across Southeast Asia.

They are now seeking an experienced Head of Business Development to lead their expansion in the Philippines, focusing on utility-scale project origination, acquisition, and execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead origination and development of large-scale renewable projects, from early-stage identification through to financial close and commissioning.
  • Manage partnerships, acquisitions, and local joint-venture opportunities to expand the project pipeline.
  • Oversee permitting, offtake structuring, and coordination with government and regulatory bodies.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including utilities, landowners, and investors.
  • Work closely with internal technical, legal, ESG, and finance teams to ensure project bankability and timely delivery.
  • Represent the company in industry and policy discussions to support long-term growth objectives.
  • Provide leadership and mentoring to a small local team and contribute to regional business strategy.

Key Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in project or business development within the energy, utilities, or infrastructure sector.
  • Proven exposure to large-scale project development or execution.
  • Strong understanding of local market dynamics and ability to navigate regulatory and stakeholder environments.
  • Commercially minded, relationship-driven, and capable of operating independently in a regional setup.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline.

This role will be based in Manila, Philippines.
