Job Responsibilities:

Solution Design & Development

  • Design and develop customized Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Visualforce, and Salesforce configuration.
  • Build integrations with internal insurance platforms such as policy admin systems, claims systems, underwriting tools, and third-party data providers.
  • Implement automation using Flows, Process Builder, and Apex Triggers to support insurance workflows.
  • Develop and maintain Lightning Experience features that improve advisor, broker, client, and internal user experience.

Platform Management

  • Configure Salesforce objects, fields, page layouts, permission sets, profiles, and record types aligned with insurance data models.
  • Ensure data quality, security, governance, and compliance with industry regulations (e.g., privacy, data residency, retention).
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues across multiple Salesforce orgs.

Business Collaboration

  • Partner with business analysts, product owners, and SMEs from Claims, Underwriting, Group Benefits, Wealth, and Distribution teams to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies; provide estimates, technical recommendations, and solution options.

Integration & API Work

  • Develop and maintain REST/SOAP APIs for communication between Salesforce and enterprise systems.
  • Work with middleware tools such as MuleSoft, Boomi, or Informatica Cloud (commonly used in insurance organizations).

Testing, Deployment & Documentation

  • Write and maintain unit tests with high code coverage for Apex classes and triggers.
  • Support CI/CD processes using tools like Azure DevOps, GitLab, or Copado.
  • Maintain technical documentation and contribute to architectural standards.

Qualifications

  • 6 years of Salesforce development experience.
  • Strong proficiency in Apex, LWC, SOQL, SOSL, APIs, and Salesforce declarative capabilities.
  • Experience working in the insurance domain or other regulated industries.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and/or Financial Services Cloud (FSC).
  • Understanding of data modelling, integration patterns, and security best practices.
