Overall Role
The HR Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing HR strategies, policies, and programs aligned with organizational goals. The role ensures legal compliance, employee engagement, talent management, and supports leadership in building a strong culture and workforce.
Daily Tasks
- Oversee daily HR operations and provide guidance to HR Coordinator.
- Address employee relations issues and resolve escalations from HR Coordinator.
- Monitor leave requests, approve timekeeping corrections, and work schedule adjustments.
- Support management with HR advice on employee performance, conduct, and compliance.
- Review recruitment progress and shortlist candidates for all roles.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and internal HR policies.
- Respond to urgent management concerns regarding staffing, employee issues, or policy application.
Weekly Tasks
- Conduct one-on-one meetings with the HR Coordinator to track progress.
- Review recruitment pipeline and interview outcomes.
- Prepare job offers, compensation packages, and contract issuances.
- Meet with department heads to discuss workforce planning, performance, and staffing needs.
- Collaborate with other departments regarding employee engagement activities, wellness initiatives, and training sessions.
- Review timekeeping, attendance reports, and employee productivity trends.
- Provide HR updates during management/leadership meetings.
Monthly Tasks
- Review payroll processing and validate compliance with government regulations.
- Review HR metrics (turnover rate, absenteeism, recruitment timelines).
- Conduct staff performance reviews with line managers.
- Monitor compliance submissions (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, DOLE reports).
- Prepare a summary report on HR operations for top management.
- Plan and oversee training and development sessions.
