Job Overview

The QAQC BIM Job Captain is responsible for conducting BIM quality control reviews and ensuring model consistency and accuracy in alignment with company standards. The position reports directly to the BIM Manager and focuses on verifying the correctness, completeness, and compliance of BIM models.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work under the supervision of the BIM Manager.
  • Supervise the tasks and outputs of BIM Modelers.
  • Review BIM models based on provided AEC drawings and provide comments or corrections for implementation.
  • Perform multiple model reviews to ensure compliance with standards, BIM Execution Plans (BEPs), and project workflows.
  • Inspect BIM models for clashes and design-related issues.
  • Assist in creating and editing project templates to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Develop custom families with shared parameters as required by project needs.
  • Ensure the proper implementation of shared coordinates across all projects.
  • Support the BIM Manager in documenting updates to project standards and procedures.
  • Assist in training and upskilling BIM Modelers and other BIM Job Captains.
  • Contribute to the development of BEPs and Task Information Delivery Plans (TIDPs).

Qualifications

  • Licensed professional in any AEC discipline.
  • Minimum of 6 years of work experience in BIM.
  • At least 6 years of experience in the respective discipline (design or on-site).
  • Minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other BIM-related software.
  • Strong knowledge of plan reading across all AEC disciplines.
  • Professional working proficiency in English.
