BIM Manager

PRIMARY PURPOSE:

The BIM Manager leads and oversees the BIM team, ensuring that BIM workflows and strategies align with project goals, enhance collaboration, and optimize the delivery of high-quality engineering solutions. The is responsible in developing and implementing BIM standards, coordinating structural design, construction, and documentation across multi-disciplinary projects. The position also ensures quality compliance, promotes technical excellence, and contributes to the continuous development of personnel within the organization.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Lead and manage the BIM team to deliver high-quality engineering solutions for diverse projects
• Review and approve BIM deliverables, ensuring the quality, accuracy, and completeness of the models.
• Ensure all BIM models comply with local and international standards, project specifications, and regulatory requirements.
• Supervise, mentor, and evaluate the performance of BIM team to ensure high performance and continuous improvement.
• Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting for the BIM software and coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams to foster a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.
• Promote a culture of knowledge-sharing through training sessions, workshops, and professional development initiatives.
• Promote a culture of initiative, excellence, leadership, costumer focus and accountability in project delivery.
• Oversee internal design quality checks, peer reviews, and risk assessments.
• Implement QA/QC procedures and ensure alignment with ISO standards and client specifications
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders (including architects, engineers, contractors, and clients) to ensure seamless project delivery using BIM technologies.
• Attend design coordination meetings and contribute to technical discussions with clients and stakeholders.
• Oversee the development and coordination of BIM models across various project teams (architectural, structural, MEP, etc.).
• Establish, implement, and enforce BIM standards, guidelines, and protocols across all project stages, from design to construction.
• Conduct clash detection and resolve coordination issues within the BIM environment to mitigate risks and reduce construction delays.
• Lead the integration of BIM with other digital technologies, including advanced modeling, parametric design, and data-driven decision-making.
• Oversee and ensure the proper use of BIM during the construction phase, including the creation and management of as-built models.
• Drive value engineering through BIM-based simulations and performance analysis to optimize materials, costs, and design options.
• Participate in project bidding, resource allocation, scheduling, and budgeting processes.
• Manage timelines, deliverables, and engineering support during construction phases.

EDUCATION, TECHNICAL CAPABILITY AND CAREER:

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture (Required)
• Licensed Civil Engineer or Architect (PRC required/ International certification is a plus)
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in BIM-based design and coordination
• At least 5 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Member of recognized professional organizations ((ASEP, PICE, ACI, ASCE/ UAP)
• Certification in BIM (e.g., Autodesk Certified Professional) is an advantage
• Strong knowledge of BIM standards (e.g., ISO 19650, PAS 1192), protocols, and execution planning
• Proficient in BIM software such as Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, Civil 3D, InfraWorks, Dynamo, and BIM 360.
• Proficient in CDE platforms (e.g., BIM 360) and coordination tools.
• Understanding of construction sequencing (4D), cost estimation (5D), and asset management (6D) workflows.
• Experience managing multi-disciplinary teams and delivering of mid to large-scale infrastructure, building, and industrial projects
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
