This is a remote position.

Role Name: Bookkeeper

  • 20 hrs/week 

  • Work Schedule Mon–Thurs, 10:00 AM–3:00 PM MST

You'll play a crucial role supporting a tax preparation firm during their peak season, where your bookkeeping expertise will directly impact client satisfaction and business growth. This seasonal opportunity offers the flexibility of part-time hours while providing meaningful work in a fast-paced tax environment. You'll work with a small, focused team that's actively growing and needs your QuickBooks skills to handle their expanding client base during the critical tax preparation period.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform bank reconciliations and create profit and loss statements from reconciliation data

  • Maintain and update QuickBooks records for multiple tax clients

  • Reconcile accounts, bank statements, and financial records with precision

  • Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable processes

  • Process invoicing and support payroll functions as needed

  • Provide comprehensive bookkeeping support during peak tax season

  • Support tax preparation activities and maintain accurate financial documentation

  • Manage multiple client accounts independently while ensuring quality standards

Requirements

  • QuickBooks certification (mandatory requirement)

  • Proven experience in bookkeeping and accounting tasks

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record keeping

  • Experience with bank reconciliations and financial statement preparation

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple client accounts simultaneously

  • Reliable internet connection and comfortable working remotely

  • Bonus if you have previous tax industry or seasonal work experience

  • It helps if you're available for consistent daily work during the specified seasonal period
