Job Summary:

The Learning and Development Officer – Sales is responsible for strengthening the sales force by designing, delivering, and evaluating training programs that drive performance, improve sales capabilities, and align with business goals. This role partners closely with Sales Leaders, Product Teams, and HR to ensure a highly skilled, motivated, and customer-focused sales team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify learning and development needs across the sales organization through performance analysis, feedback, and collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Design and implement sales training programs, including onboarding, product and systems training, sales process workshops, and skills-based development (e.g., prospecting, consultative selling, negotiation).
  • Facilitate engaging training sessions through classroom, virtual, and on-the-job coaching methods.
  • Work closely with Product and Marketing teams to ensure training materials reflect current offerings, value propositions, and market positioning.
  • Measure training effectiveness using evaluations, assessments, and sales performance data to drive continuous improvement.
  • Support the development and rollout of a sales competency framework and career progression roadmap.
  • Maintain accurate training records, prepare reports, and monitor compliance with required learning activities.
  • Assist in managing the Learning Management System (LMS), including course deployment and user engagement.
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing within the sales organization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Psychology, Education, Human Resources, or a related field
  • At least 2 years of experience in training or sales enablement, preferably in a sales-driven or target-oriented environment
  • Strong background in instructional design, facilitation, and adult learning principles
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office / Google Workspace; experience using an LMS is an advantage
  • Sales background or experience working directly with sales teams is a plus
  • Creative, analytical, and passionate about helping others succeed
