Business Development Officer

San Rafael, Central Luzon, Philippines (On-site)

Job Objective

To support the formulation and implementation of strategic initiatives that drive business growth, expand market presence, and strengthen external partnerships, particularly within the agribusiness and greenhouse sectors. The role also involves assisting in land acquisition and utilization efforts—negotiating land use agreements, securing necessary permits, and resolving legal and operational concerns to ensure smooth project execution. This position requires significant fieldwork, with approximately 50–75% of time spent traveling.

  • Hands-on exposure to
    geographical and market studies
    for business expansion.
  • Experience or familiarity with
    greenhouse operations
    or
    agribusiness development
    is an advantage.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in
    diverse and multicultural environments
    .
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for engaging
    landowners, barangay and city officials, and government agencies
    .

Primary Responsibilities / Key Duties

  • Assist in developing and implementing
    strategic business development plans
    aligned with company goals.
  • Identify, analyze, and recommend
    new market opportunities
    in the agribusiness and greenhouse sectors.
  • Conduct
    geographical and market studies
    to support business expansion initiatives.
  • Participate in
    land use negotiations
    , permitting processes, and resolution of legal or operational challenges to ensure unencumbered land utilization.
  • Build and maintain
    relationships with landowners, barangay, city, and government offices
    to support project development.
  • Support coordination with
    external partners, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies
    .
  • Collaborate with
    cross-functional teams
    to ensure successful project execution.
  • Represent the company in
    external meetings, negotiations, and community engagements
    .
  • Monitor
    industry trends, competitor activities, and policy changes
    to support strategic planning.

Required Skills, Certifications, or Licenses

  • Strong skills in
    business development, market analysis, and strategic planning
    .
  • Excellent
    communication, presentation, and negotiation
    abilities.
  • Must hold a
    valid driver's license
    (for 4-wheel vehicles).
  • Knowledge in
    agribusiness operations, project management, and market research
    .
  • Certifications in
    Business Development, Strategic Management, or Project Management
    are an advantage.

Educational Background

Bachelor's degree in
Agribusiness, Agribusiness Management, Agriculture, Business Administration
, or a related field.

Experience Requirement

At least
5 years of relevant experience
in business development, external affairs, or strategy-related roles.

Experience in
agribusiness or greenhouse business development
is highly preferred.
