As our outsourced Administrative Business Partner for HR and Operations, you'll act as the COO's (and occasionally the CEO's) right hand—managing back-office processes from start to finish. This role ensures leadership has the space to drive strategy and growth by delivering top-tier support in HR, administration, event/podcast management, and C-suite communications.

You must be available to work aligned with Pacific Time Zone hours.

Key Responsibilities:

1. HR Operations & Compliance

  • Run payroll cycles and contractor payments.
  • Administer employee benefits and coordinate with vendors.
  • Handle compliance filings at state and federal levels.
  • Maintain handbooks, HR policies, and training programs.
  • Manage I-9s, background checks, and verifications.
  • Update and oversee equity records through Carta.

2. Executive & Administrative Support

  • Manage calendars, board meetings, and executive schedules.
  • Arrange investor/advisor calls and key offsites.
  • Draft and deliver communications on behalf of executives.
  • Coordinate events, webinars, and podcasts—including guest outreach and follow-up.

3. Relationship Management & Service

  • Act as liaison for C-suite leadership and stakeholders.
  • Provide high-level service to internal leaders and external partners.
  • Recommend process improvements for executive efficiency.

Required Skills:

  • Payroll, HRIS, benefits, and compliance system fluency.
  • Carta expertise for cap table/equity.
  • Familiarity with Google Workspace, Office 365, Zoom, DocuSign, Slack, ClickUp, and related tools.
  • Strong organizational skills, polished communication, and discretion.
