Job Summary:

The Purchasing Manager is responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies to ensure a steady supply of products and materials at the most competitive cost and quality. This role oversees vendor management, purchasing operations, and coordination with internal departments to support the company's retail operations and inventory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute purchasing strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to ensure quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with merchandising and warehouse teams for timely replenishment.
  • Analyze market trends, pricing, and supplier performance to optimize purchasing decisions.
  • Implement purchasing policies, procedures, and controls to maintain transparency and compliance.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key vendors and suppliers.
  • Collaborate with finance for budgeting, cost tracking, and payment scheduling.
  • Lead, mentor, and evaluate purchasing staff to ensure efficient and accurate procurement processes.
  • Support sustainability and ethical sourcing initiatives in line with company standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5–8 years of experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably in retail or FMCG.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and supplier management skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office applications.
  • Knowledge of import/export processes is an advantage.

Work Set-up:

Monday to Friday - onsite

Saturday - WFH

Must be willing to work in BGC, Taguig

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php45, Php55,000.00 per month
