About the role

As the Food & Beverage Manager at The Funny Lion, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing all aspects of our food and beverage operations. This full-time position is based in our resort located in the stunning Puerto Princesa City, Palawan, offering opportunities to work in a dynamic, customer-focused environment.

What you'll be doing

  • Manage the daily operations of our restaurants, bars, and catering services to ensure exceptional customer experiences
  • Develop and implement strategies to maximise revenue, control costs, and improve operational efficiency
  • Lead, train, and motivate a team of food and beverage professionals, fostering a positive and productive work culture
  • Continuously monitor and analyse market trends, customer feedback, and industry best practices to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to create innovative menu offerings and enhance the overall dining experience
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and licensing regulations
  • Contribute to the overall strategic planning and decision-making processes of the resort

What we're looking for

  • Significant experience (5+ years) in a similar food and beverage management role within the hospitality industry
  • Proven track record of leading successful food and beverage operations, including managing budgets, maximising profitability, and driving operational excellence
  • Strong knowledge of food and beverage trends, menu development, and inventory management
  • Excellent people management and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
  • Outstanding customer service orientation and the ability to create memorable dining experiences
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions
  • Proficiency in relevant software and technology tools for food and beverage management
  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, or a related field is preferred
