Job Description:

1.  Geospatial Analysis & Mapping

  • Analyze spatial data to identify potential renewable energy project sites, including wind, solar, and hybrid systems.
  • Produce high-quality maps and reports to support feasibility studies, site selection, and regulatory submissions.
  • Perform spatial modeling for resource analysis, environmental impact assessments, and infrastructure optimization.

2.  Data Management

  • Maintain and update geospatial databases with critical project information, including land parcels, utility networks, and environmental data.
  • Integrate datasets from various sources such as satellite imagery, LiDAR, and drone surveys.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with company standards.

3.  Management, Collaboration & Technical Support

  • Work closely with project development teams to provide GIS support during site scouting, permitting, and project planning stages which includes Instrumentation and verification surveys.
  • Collaborate with external consultants, government agencies, and stakeholders to acquire and validate spatial datasets.
  • Manage and conduct refresher for team members on updated GIS tools and applications as needed.
  • Helps GIS Leads in maintaining orderly and efficient team

4.  Technology Implementation

  • Utilize advanced GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS) and tools for data visualization and analysis.
  • Develop automation workflows using Python, Model Builder, or other programming tools to streamline GIS tasks.

5.  Regulatory Compliance & Reporting

  • Ensure all geospatial outputs comply with local and international standards for renewable energy projects.
  • Support regulatory submissions by providing accurate maps and spatial data documentation.
  • Assist in monitoring and reporting on land use, environmental compliance, and stakeholder engagement using GIS tools.

Qualifications:

Education Requirement:

  • Bachelor of Science in Geodetic Engineering
  • Licensed Geodetic Engineer is a plus.

Technical Knowledge, Special Trainings and Work Experience:

  • Proficiency in GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS).
  • Knowledge of spatial analysis techniques and remote sensing.
  • Familiarity with scripting (e.g., Python, R) for GIS tasks.
  • Strong understanding of renewable energy project workflows.
  • Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
