The Senior Accounting Associate is the key person that assists the Accounting Manager in ensuring efficiency and effectiveness of the department's overall function. The job also includes performing of bookkeeping, account reconciliations, and financial analysis.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform bookkeeping, account reconciliation, and financial analysis for the organization.

  • Prepare and validate incoming and outgoing billing invoices, credit memos, financial contracts and other supporting documents.

  • Ensure regular and proper collection of payments and issuance of Official Receipts.

  • Submit detailed monthly reports including but not limited to regulatory reports and filings, accruals, prepayments, and income/expense schedules.

  • Assist in financial audits during preparation and requirements submission.

  • Maintain an organized and properly archived repository of documents, files, and records.

  • Coordinate with customers, suppliers, Equicom Bank, auditors, and other departments and stakeholders for relaying information regarding the organization's accounting matters.

QUALIFICATIONS

Must-haves:

  • At least 2 years of experience in Accounting or related field

  • Bachelor's degree in the following or related fields: Finance, Accountancy, Banking, or Commerce

  • Highly knowledgeable with BIR and other statutory requirements

  • Proficient in MS Office applications, especially MS Excel and its basic formulas (Vlookup, Pivot, etc.)

  • Excellent organizational skills and keen eye for detail

  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and conceptual skills

  • Great oral and written communication and people skills

  • Ability and willingness to learn and adapt quickly

  • Flexible and proactive team player

  • Capable of multitasking and can meet deadlines with minimum supervision

Good to have, but not required:

  • Previous experience as a supervisor or similar managerial role

  • Experience in handling accounts payable and accounts receivable
