Responsibilities

  • Review daily reconciliations, reports, and other deliverables prepared by Associate Accountants, providing feedback for improvement.
  • Oversee the progress and quality of work, offering guidance on day-to-day transactions and issues.
  • Assist Directors/Associate Directors in managing daily operations and responding to team inquiries.
  • Prepare time budgets and budget-to-actual analyses for engagements, explaining variances and supporting billing adjustments.
  • Review monthly and quarterly financial reports (e.g., balance sheet, P&L, allocations) and analyze fund returns for reasonableness.
  • Summarize issues and lead weekly discussions with management, proposing solutions to identified concerns.
  • Ensure fund administration procedures are properly followed and completed by the team.
  • Coordinate year-end audit and tax requirements with auditors and tax personnel.
  • Conduct orientations and training for Associate Accountants, covering accounting topics, fund structures, or portfolio software.
  • Evaluate Associate Accountants' performance, provide feedback, and recommend promotions when appropriate.
  • Step in to perform Associate Accountant duties when needed.
  • Ensure all deliverables meet internal deadlines and undergo detailed review before submission.
  • Review timesheets and maintain regular communication with clients to address their business needs.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of Bachelor's degree in Accountancy;
  • Must be a
    Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Accountant (CA), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA)
    ;
  • Must have at least 3 consecutive years of experience as an accounting or finance professional;
  • Experience in Fund Administration, Asset Management Audit or equivalent is an advantage;
  • Must have experienced managing staff;
  • A team player; must be able to work individually and as part of a team;
  • Has a good business understanding of financial concepts and procedures;
  • Analytical and very detail-oriented;
  • Flexibility to expand work hours as necessary and support business needs
