Accountant

The Accountant will support the end-to-end finance and accounting functions for a portfolio of companies within the group. This role manages daily bookkeeping, monthly closing, accounts receivable collections, accounts payable, financial reporting, and compliance coordination. The candidate will also be responsible for following up on overdue invoices and ensuring accurate, timely financial information to support management decisions.

1. Key Responsibilities
   
   A. General Accounting & Bookkeeping

2. Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for multiple entities.

3. Prepare and record journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
4. Perform bank reconciliations, credit card reconciliations, and petty cash tracking.
5. Manage depreciation schedules, prepaid expenses, and amortisation entries.
6. Ensure all transactions comply with internal controls and accounting standards.

B. Accounts Receivable & Payment Chasing

• Prepare and issue invoices to clients across all entities.
• Monitor and update the AR aging schedule daily/weekly.
• Follow up with clients for outstanding and overdue payments through email, WhatsApp, and phone calls (using a professional and firm tone).
• Coordinate with Sales/Project teams regarding completed milestones, billing schedules, or disputes.
• Escalate non-payment cases to management when needed.
• Track payment receipts and apply them to the correct invoices.

C. Accounts Payable & Vendor Management

• Verify vendor invoices and match against POs, delivery orders, or contracts.
• Maintain AP aging schedule and prepare payments based on cash-flow priorities.
• Manage monthly payroll disbursement support if required.

D. Financial Reporting & Monthly Close

• Prepare monthly management reports for each entity (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
• Consolidate financials across multiple companies when needed.
• Support quarterly and annual budgeting processes.
• Provide variance analysis and highlight financial risks or concerns.

E. Tax & Compliance Coordination

• Liaise with Singapore-based tax agents, corporate secretarial, or auditors for required financial documents.
• Prepare supporting schedules for GST, income tax, financial year-end audits, etc.
• Maintain compliance with local Philippine employment and accounting regulations.

F. Systems & Process Management

• Use accounting systems such as Xero Accounting.
• Maintain digital filing of receipts, invoices, quotes, and expense documents.

• Propose improvements to streamline accounting workflows across the group.

• Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Experience

• Minimum 3–5 years of full-spectrum accounting experience.
• Experience managing accounting for multiple businesses is advantageous.
• Strong background in AR collections and payment chasing.

Skills & Competencies

• Proficiency in accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks, MYOB, SQL Accounting, SAP B1).
• Strong understanding of financial standards and bookkeeping principles.
• Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal).
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php20, Php40,000.00 per month
