Job Summary

The Accounting Supervisor - Taxation will oversee all tax-related functions of the company, ensuring full compliance with BIR regulations and other government requirements. He/She will lead a team of tax analysts, review all tax filings, and provide strategic guidance to optimize tax efficiency for a fast-paced and expanding F&B business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise day-to-day tax operations, including preparation, filing, and payment of all applicable taxes (VAT, EWT, Income Tax, Percentage Tax, etc.).
  • Review and ensure accuracy of all tax returns, schedules, and reconciliations prepared by analysts.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with BIR, LGU, and other government regulatory requirements.
  • Provide guidance on tax implications of business transactions, contracts, and expansions.
  • Assist in tax planning initiatives to minimize tax risks and exposures while maximizing efficiency.
  • Lead and support internal and external tax audits, preparing necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Develop and implement policies, processes, and controls to strengthen tax compliance and reporting.
  • Stay updated with changes in tax laws, regulations, and BIR issuances, and communicate implications to management.
  • Mentor, train, and evaluate performance of tax analysts to build a strong, capable tax team.
  • Coordinate with external auditors, consultants, and regulatory agencies as necessary.

Qualifications

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) – mandatory
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in taxation, preferably with supervisory responsibilities
  • Strong knowledge of Philippine taxation laws, regulations, and BIR processes
  • Background in F&B, retail, or fast-paced industries is an advantage
  • Excellent leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Proficient in Google Workspace (Sheets) and accounting systems (knowledge of ERP systems is a plus)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
