Accounting Supervisor Gigahertz Computer System The Accounting Supervisor will oversee the daily operations of a team of accounting analysts, ensuring timely and accurate execution of key financial tasks such as bookkeeping, reconciliations, and compliance reporting. This role reports to the Assistant Accounting Manager and plays a critical part in maintaining strong internal controls and efficient workflows within the accounting department. Key Responsibilities Supervise a team of accounting staff in handling accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, bank reconciliation, and general ledger functions. Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting documentation for accuracy and compliance. Monitor and ensure timely month-end and year-end closing activities. Assist in the preparation of financial reports and schedules required for internal and external stakeholders. Help enforce accounting policies and procedures, and ensure adherence to internal controls and regulatory requirements. Identify process inefficiencies and recommend improvements for better accuracy and timeliness. Train and mentor junior accounting staff to build technical capabilities and promote accountability. Support internal and external audit activities by preparing necessary schedules and responding to audit inquiries. Requirements Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA is an advantage. At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory or senior accounting role in a local Philippine Firm. Solid understanding of Philippine accounting standards, BIR compliance, and payroll regulations. Experience in using accounting systems and Microsoft Excel; ERP knowledge is a plus. Strong attention to detail, organizational, and analytical skills. Effective communication and leadership abilities. Ability to work under pressure and manage tight deadlines.
