Job Summary

The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for driving growth and revenue by identifying new business opportunities, nurturing client relationships, and developing strategies that enhance the company's market presence. The BDM collaborates closely with the marketing, sales, and creative teams to develop and deliver compelling solutions that meet client needs.

Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Planning & Opportunity Identification
  • Identify potential clients and business opportunities through market research and networking.

  • Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and industry shifts to inform strategic plans.

  • Develop and implement lead generation strategies aligned with marketing goals.

2. Client Relationship Management
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with clients.

  • Conduct client meetings, pitch presentations, and proposal development.

  • Act as a liaison between the client and internal teams to ensure deliverables meet expectations.

3. Sales & Revenue Growth
  • Prepare and negotiate contracts with prospective clients.

  • Set sales targets and develop plans to achieve them.

  • Manage the sales pipeline, update CRM systems, and report on KPIs and forecasts.

4. Collaboration & Campaign Development
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to tailor campaigns and solutions for client acquisition and retention.

  • Work closely with the creative team to align brand messaging with business objectives.

  • Participate in brainstorming sessions and campaign evaluations.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or related field.

  • 3–5 years of experience in business development, preferably within a marketing or advertising agency.

  • Proven track record in sales, lead generation, and client management.

  • Strong understanding of marketing concepts and campaign execution.

Skills & Competencies
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Persuasive presentation and negotiation skills

  • Strategic thinker with analytical abilities

  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented

  • Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce)

  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in digital marketing or creative services

  • Familiarity with marketing analytics and ROI metrics

  • Professional certifications (e.g., Certified Business Development Expert, Digital Marketing certification)
