Job Summary:

The HR Specialist – Employee Relations is responsible for fostering a positive work environment by managing employee relations matters, ensuring fair treatment, and promoting adherence to company policies and labor laws. This role serves as a point of contact for employee concerns, investigates workplace issues, and provides guidance to managers and employees to resolve conflicts effectively and maintain workplace harmony.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary contact for employee concerns, grievances, and workplace issues.
  • Conduct fair and timely investigations into employee complaints, disciplinary matters, and policy violations.
  • Provide guidance to managers and supervisors on employee relations best practices and compliance with labor laws.
  • Ensure proper documentation of all employee relations cases, investigations, and disciplinary actions.
  • Monitor employee engagement and workplace climate, recommending initiatives to promote positive relations.
  • Assist in developing and updating HR policies, procedures, and employee handbooks to ensure compliance and clarity.
  • Coordinate and support performance management processes, including counseling, corrective action, and dispute resolution.
  • Partner with Learning & Development in creating training programs related to workplace behavior, compliance, and company values.
  • Keep up-to-date with labor regulations, employment laws, and industry best practices.
  • Prepare regular reports and analytics on employee relations cases and trends for management review.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Psychology, Behavioral Science, or related field
  • At least 2–4 years of experience in employee relations, labor relations, or general HR functions
  • Strong knowledge of Philippine Labor Code and related employment regulations
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters with professionalism and discretion
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools; experience with HRIS is an advantage
